The Gran Bahia Principe in the Riviera Maya was the location for this sunny destination wedding. This historic region is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and intriguing in the world, and it offered the bride & groom’s friends & family a chance to get to know more about each other during their stay, while also enjoying the great weather and celebrating the couple’s happiness and exciting future together.
The beauty of a destination wedding such as this, is that the bride & groom didn’t need much in the way of decoration to create a breathtaking and romantic atmosphere – they just let the natural surroundings do the hard work for them! The style of the ceremony was very simple, utilizing just the backdrop of the crystal clear ocean and white sands to give a touch of glamour to the big day. Classic white calla lilies complemented the natural scenery, and were included in both the bridal bouquet and the floral arrangements.
Following the ceremony, a celebratory reception was held in one of the resort’s amazing restaurants – a chance for the bride, groom, and the rest of the wedding party to relax, unwind, and loosen up a little. While the ceremony was very romantic, peaceful, and serene, the reception was much more lively, energetic, and, dare we say it, risque! The restaurant and resort staff had a good few humorous antics up their sleeves, and the drinking games made it easy for both families to break the ice. 1, 2, 3, Tequila!
