The Shangri La Hotel was the setting for this gorgeous, designer wedding. Leni from the onset had a clear idea for her dream wedding but needed help fine tuning her ideas. She envisioned a mix of earth tones with many candles and lots of glamour! After our site visit to the venue with the team from the Wedding Design Studio we discussed some ideas and decided on a rich dark brown color with accents of green, gold and cream which complimented the color palette of the ballroom.
As Leni has a love of Bamboo, this became the theme for the day and was incorporated into many accents for the entire wedding. We were able to source a vendor who was able to create invitations, custom table numbers, the guest book, and coasters ( for the party favors) made from wood with bamboo motif engravings. Paper dinner menus were also created by the same vendor with the bamboo design. Chivari chairs were used as they give the appearance of bamboo, and we purchased the cake and knife server with handles designed to mimic bamboo as well!
The money box was made from a beautiful antique wood box that we found in China Town, which blended in seamlessly with the look of the room.
Instead of serving the wedding cake, each guest was presented their own individual mini-wedding cake from Ganache Patisserie. “Such a great idea” and “what a nice touch” were the comments from many of the guests!
Everything was just perfect to a tee and I must say Leni’s wedding dress was simply spectacular!
