The Scottish Cultural Center was transformed from its usual down-to-earth venue into something truly spectacular for Teresa & Steven’s wedding, demonstrating just how versatile this wonderful venue really is. The contemporary nature of the building was blended with luxurious style and wonderful attention to detail, with a black & white damask theme running through the decor, the invitations, the money box and even the dinner menus. We had worked together to ensure everything fitted in with this classic, elegant, and traditional theme.
The bride and groom both wanted to take this traditional theme and mix it up a bit by incorporating some modern fun into their wedding day, so we had a great time collaborating and coming up with unique and entertaining ideas. White balloons were released outside the church following the wedding ceremony, and a self-serve candy bar was set up at the reception so guests could help themselves to all manner of yummy goodies and sweet treats. This combination of traditional sophistication and contemporary amusements are what really made this wedding special. Where else could you lounge on chic leather sofas sipping cocktails whilst having a caricaturist create a cheesy picture of you?
Teresa was absolutely radiant, breaking with tradition to wear her ‘something blue’ on her feet! Her beautiful, vibrant shoes added a touch of colour to the otherwise monochrome theme, which was the perfect touch. She maintained the Damask theme with her gorgeous bridal bouquet however, placing jet black feathers and sparkling crystals amongst the flowers to add a touch of classic glamour and fabulosity to her one-of-a-kind bridal style. Teresa & Steven’s wedding was certainly an event to remember!
