Custom Wedding Signs

Wedding signs are an easy way to personalize your wedding without have to spend a lot of money.  Messages on chalk boards, painted wood signs, burlap, picture frames and foam core are just some of the ways to display personal sentiments to your guests.

Wedding expenses can easily creep up on you so to help alleviate some of the costs I make custom signs for my clients when I am able to do so.  I’m not a graphic artist by any means but I am quite handy with PowerPoint and I do my best to create signs that fit the theme and style of the couple.

I created the photo booth sign below for an upcoming wedding reception.  Still deciding on how I’m going to print and display – framed or on foam core are the two options I’m contemplating.

Below are some creative wedding signs that I hope to incorporate into future weddings or events.

Framed Signs

Custom Money Boxes

At times we have to literally think outside of the Box ……

moneybox1

To keep with the “Hint of Asian”  inspired theme the bride and I made a trip down to China Town and found this beautiful antique chest.  We then had a wood worker cut a groove on the lid for the envelopes to pass through.  As a bonus the couple now have a beautiful keepsake from their wedding.

You can easily make a money box to compliment the style of your event.  I made this from boxes purchased at the Dollar Store, raw silk  from  one of Vancouver’s favourite fabric stores Rokko Sarees, and embellishments from an Indian store  in Surrey.

Designer Stationery

Ordering invitations online can be daunting but having ordered from countries as far as India I have always had great service. An extensive selection of good quality products at reasonable prices can be found.  Sample invitations can be ordered ahead and clients are able to see the product before placing the final order.

I’ve also used online retailers that allow you to upload your own images to create custom invitations, thank-you cards and more.  The possibilities are endless as there are thousands of designs to choose from.

Unique Guest Books

I found that I would spend hours searching for Guest Books to match the décor without any luck.  Some printers may offer additional services that are not advertised so check with them as they may be able to create a custom Guest Book  for you to match the invitations. The possibilities are endless in the creative process.
